gar-imac:
You did not need to reformat the drive. You could have selected all the files, and dragged them to the Trash. Even erasing could have been done without altering the format.
So, what's next? If you want to drive to be readable by both systems select the Manufacturer ID or the drive, go the Partition menu and select the disk format you want. (You are creating a single partition volume). Then click partition.
Please do not hesitate to post back should you have further questions or comments.
Good luck.

!!ADDITION FOR MAC USERS: To make sure you'll be able to launch the game, please follow this little tutorial:-Navigate to where the How To Be Happy - District 9 (Mac OS).app folder you unzipped is.-Open a terminal (it's available in Applications). Then start by typing this command: sudo chmod. Oh, that's totally understandable. Anyway, I'm hoping to see it on Steam anytime in the future. Slenderman's Shadow was a part of my childhood in a way, so I get kinda sentimental:D I'm keeping the game on my drive all the time and will probably for ever.

An interactive journal experience.

  • Add memories to create a forest around you.
  • Revisit your memories by interacting with trees.
  • See the overall sentiment* of your entries
  • Visit forests created from classic literature

Created over the course of two and a half weeks as my capstone project for Ada Developer's Academy.

* This game interacts with IBM Watson's Tone Analyzer API to analyze your text and determine what tree to create. The IBM Watson™ Tone Analyzer service processes but does not store users' data. Game data is only saved locally on your machine.

Known issues and possible solutions:

1. 'The application 'forest-of-memories-macos' can't be opened.'

  • Open a terminal window, go to the folder containing forest-of-memories-macos.app, type 'cd forest-of-memories-macos.app/Contents/MacOS', then 'chmod +x Forest of Memories'. Then try to open the application again.

2. The app can't be opened because MacOS can't verify the developer.

  • Right click or two-finger click on the app, then select Open from the context menu, then Open from the warning dialog.
